Top 5 Stalls at Lincoln’s 2012 Christmas Market

Lincoln’s famous Christmas Market is back in town! Yesterday marked the start of the 23rd annual event that will run from the 6th to the 9th of December.

This year features the introduction of the controversial one- way system. Intended to bring order to the crowds that flock to the event, it instead makes navigating the market and the surrounding area frustrating and difficult.

Visitors are unable to return to stalls they have already passed by and local businesses not located on the system’s route may not see any customers at all. The one- way system also results in more crowding, it forces visitors to the market into confined spaces where they will be jostled by those behind looking to move forward.

However, those willing to brave the market will find a wide array of wonderful stalls, perfect for those doing their Christmas shopping, or simply looking for something interesting or tasty to take home. Here are my five favourites  from 2013’s Christmas market.
